These Telemedicine Companies Are Changing the Future of Doctor Visits

Telemedicine exploded during the pandemic, and companies are using that momentum to usher in the next wave of remote health. Among the companies rethinking televisits is Tyto Care, an on-demand medical exam company that aims to replicate in-person visits with home medical kits. Tyto Care kits enable physicians to remotely monitor symptoms in a patient's ears, throat, heart, and lungs and also take basic vital signs. The devices has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval. Such other telemedicine startups as Kiira are focusing on expanding access to underserved communities. The Los Angeles-based company's virtual care app connects women to primary care providers, OB-GYN's, and more 24/7 via phone, video, and chat.
