ShiftKey's National Data Report Reveals Healthcare Workers Make Frequent Personal Sacrifices

Some 81% of health care professionals say they have experienced burnout, with the majority (62%) saying they are at risk of burnout right now and 49% noting that they've considered leaving the field altogether, according to a nationwide survey of 1,000 nurses and health care workers by ShiftKey. Additionally, 81% of respondents say they have caretaking responsibilities in their personal lives. Despite dealing with burnout, the majority (79%) of health care professionals wouldn't trade their careers for another. 97% of respondents agree that nurses and health care workers need more scheduling flexibility to combat burnout.
