DNV GL Releases Stroke Certification Revisions
By Rachel Weston, NAMSS Government Relations Senior Associate
On Dec. 29, 2020, DNV GL announced the DNV GL Healthcare Stroke Certification Education Requirements for 2021. DNV GL delayed compliance timelines until Jan.1, 2022, due to COVID-19-related cancelations of stroke skills days, stroke conferences, and virtual surveys. The revised 2021 Stroke Programs Education Grid includes additional comments for clarity. DNV GL also added physician-education requirements for all stroke programs and will require compliance for the new nurse and other non-physician education requirements by Jan. 1, 2022.
