Cultivating Excellence, Empowering Tomorrow’s MSP at NAMSS 2025
By Ann Klinger, CPCS
As the 2025 NAMSS Conference Committee Chair, I am excited to welcome to Portland, Oregon, the City of Roses, for the 49th Educational Conference and Exhibition of the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS). From Sept. 28–Oct. 1, #NAMSS25 will bring together Medical Services Professionals (MSPs) and Provider Enrollment professionals from across the country for a dynamic blend of education, networking, and inspiration.
The NAMSS Conference is more than just a professional gathering; it is a celebration of the dynamic role MSPs and Provider Enrollment professionals play in healthcare. Attendees can expect:
- Cutting-edge educational sessions led by industry leaders.
- Workshops and panels on credentialing, compliance, provider enrollment, and leadership.
- Networking opportunities with peers, mentors, and exhibitors.
- Access to the latest tools and technologies in the exhibit hall.
Whether you are a seasoned professional or new to the field, #NAMSS25 offers a chance to deepen your knowledge, expand your network, and return to your organization with fresh insights and renewed energy.
This year, #NAMSS25 is adding more interactive formats, gameshows, scenarios, and roundtable discussions. Each day, there will be Skill Booster Sessions that will feature short, high-energy sessions focused on professional development to help sharpen soft skills, including leadership, communication, time management, and more. There will also be time for personal wellness.
#NAMSS25 will feature customized journey maps focusing on areas of expertise and interest, including provider enrollment, credentialing/privileging/CVO, quality and peer review, and operational management. Journey maps will highlight sessions and activities based on your area of interest and provide a tailored path for your conference experience.
This year’s conference will have three keynote speakers. We will have two professional opening and closing keynote speakers. In addition, #NAMSS25 will have an MSP keynote session led by attorney Brian Betner. One lucky person will leave the conference as the winner of a full 2026 conference package worth more than $2,000. Again, this year, you must be present to win.
Breakfast will be provided on all days of the conference, as well as lunch on one day. Lunch will be available to purchase on the other two days.
The Oregon Convention Center is a venue that reflects Portland’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. It is easily accessible via public transit (MAX train and bus), and those who attend will receive free transit passes. This year, NAMSS has four host hotels, and shuttle service will be available in the morning and evening to the Oregon Convention Center. Public safety coordinators will also be available daily from 3 p.m.–2:30 a.m. to assist and guide you between the Oregon Convention Center, transit stops, and nearby hotels.
Get here early and stick around for a week full of inspiration and connection. Portland is known for its quirky charm, lush greenery, and food scene, and there is no sales tax in Portland or Oregon. While attending #NAMSS25, take time to explore:
- Local cuisine from food trucks to fine dining
- Craft breweries and wineries
- Scenic spots like the International Rose Test Garden and Forest Park
- Pioneer Courthouse Square (food carts), Pioneer Place (shopping)
- Lloyd Center Ice Rink (indoors)
- E-bikes
- The Oregon Zoo, or the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry
Attending #NAMSS25 in Portland is more than a professional development opportunity; it is a chance to be part of a thriving community dedicated to excellence in healthcare. This is one event you do not want to miss.
