Former ER Doctor Pleads Guilty to Voyeurism, Lewd Conduct
by Bennington Banner (07/14/21)
Eike Blohm, a former emergency room doctor at the University of Vermont Medical Center, recently pleaded guilty in state court to lewd and lascivious conduct and voyeurism after prosecutors say police discovered hidden cameras in a hospital restroom with hundreds of images of hospital employees. The judge in the case did not accept the plea agreement, because she first wants to hear from some of the 108 identified victims. Prosecutors also say authorities found digital devices at Blohm’s residence, some of which contained images of child pornography. Blohm was fired from his job at the hospital and subsequently arrested in April 2020. He has pleaded guilty in federal court to similar charges. The new plea agreement, which also covers the federal case, calls for the 39-year-old to serve nearly seven years in prison.
